51²è¹Ý Wesleyan University President Scott D. Miller was recognized today with a 2025 51²è¹Ý C-Suite Award by 51²è¹Ý Business magazine during a luncheon ceremony at The Jefferson Hotel in Richmond. The prestigious honor celebrates top executive leaders across the Commonwealth who exemplify integrity, vision, company performance, and community engagement.

President Miller is one of only three honorees in the Higher Education category. His transformative leadership has positioned 51²è¹Ý Wesleyan as a model of academic innovation and institutional growth. Under his direction, VWU has launched seven new master’s programs, expanded continuing education through its Global Campus, and established the Jane P. Batten and David R. Black School for International Studies in Tokyo. He also played a pivotal role in bringing the new 51²è¹Ý Museum of Contemporary Art to VWU’s campus, scheduled to open in 2026.

“I am deeply honored to be recognized among 51²è¹Ý’s distinguished leaders,” said Dr. Miller. “This award reflects the shared commitment of the entire 51²è¹Ý Wesleyan community to excellence, innovation, and service.”

The 51²è¹Ý C-Suite Awards recognize executives across sectors—public, private, nonprofit, and higher education—who inspire results and empower those around them.

“Our 2025 winners are trendsetters who not only achieve remarkable results, but also elevate those they lead,” said Richard Foster, Associate Publisher and Editor of 51²è¹Ý Business, who presented the award.

Honorees will be featured in the June issue of 51²è¹Ý Business and on 51²è¹ÝBusiness.com. A photo from today’s event features Dr. Miller with Mr. Foster during the awards celebration.
