This was published under the 2010 to 2015 Conservative and Liberal Democrat coalition government

The UK strongly condemns North Koreas unprovoked attack on the South Korean island of Yeonpyeong Island. Such unprovoked attacks will only lead to further tensions on the Korean Peninsula. We strongly urge North Korea to refrain from such attacks and adhere to the Korean Armistice agreement. I welcome President Lee Myung-baks call for restraint.
