Prime Minister David Cameron has used a speech at the toĀ set out how he believesĀ Britain can be made more competitiveĀ in the ā€˜global race’.Ā 

The Prime Minister said success will come fromĀ taking tough decisions on the deficit, reforming our education system, and taking steps towards leaner, faster government.

In the speechĀ Mr CameronĀ announced plans to reform the Judicial Review process – explaining that casesĀ can beĀ costly and canĀ clog up the courts and delay justice. Meanwhile theĀ risk of a Judicial Review can hold up major infrastructure projects. The reforms aim toĀ reduce the time limit when people can bring cases, charge more for successive reviews – to preventĀ intentionalĀ time-wasting – and halve the number of appeals.
