The UK and Poland celebrate 100 years of renewed diplomatic relations
A series of events will commemorate the 100th anniversary of the reestablishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

100 years of friendship
On 26 February 1919, Sir Esme Howard, Civil Delegate on the International Commission to Poland, wrote to Marshal J坦zef Pisudski, Chief of State of the newly re-established Republic of Poland:
His Britannic Majestys Government acknowledges Polands restoration to independence.
With this, following a 124 year-long break, diplomatic relations between the UK and Poland were renewed.
The British Embassy Warsaw is planning a series of events and activities to celebrate the centenary, under the theme 100 years of friendship. Follow us on and for more information.
