The Health Equity in Health Protection Initiative (HEHPI) provides a central, external-facing platform that brings together UKHSA鈥檚 key health equity resources in one place. It helps ensure that data, research, and community insights are easier to find, use, and share.
What we do
The Health Equity in Health Protection Initiative supports UKHSA鈥檚 cross-cutting goal to deliver more equitable health outcomes. The initiative does this by helping UKHSA to build a strong foundation of data and evidence relevant to health equity in health protection. This includes understanding:
- the differential impact of health protection hazards on and inclusion health groups
- what interventions are most effective in reducing health inequalities in health protection
- how communities experience and engage with health services
