Working for UK NSC
Information about working for the UK National Screening Committee (UK NSC) and links to sites where our jobs are advertised.
There are several different ways you can work for the UK NSC: become a member of the committee, join one of the committee’s expert reference groups that advise on specific areas, or work for the UK NSC secretariat.
Become a member of the committee
The committee currently has no vacancies.
The committee membership normally includes individuals from public life, academia and practising clinicians who have expertise in one or more relevant areas. Members of the UK NSC are appointed for a fixed term as individuals and not as representatives of any organisations, after which time the role is open to new applicants, who can apply through the website.
Become a member of a UK NSC expert reference group
The UK NSC expert reference groups are currently recruiting.
We have 15 roles to appoint to:
- 6 on the fetal, maternal and child health (FMCH) group – an ethicist, health economist, metabolic medicine expert, midwife, neonatologist, and PPV member

Email your application form or any enquiries to uknsc@dhsc.gov.uk. Please use the reference group name and post title in your email subject line.
If you do not receive an acknowledgement of your application within 5 working days, please get in touch. Â

We will assess the application forms against the skills and experience outlined above and make our selection on that basis. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to a telephone interview. Â
