Biography

Keirra Smith is the Head of the British Consulate-General in Dusseldorf and Director of Department for Business and Trade in Germany. She started the role in May 2025.

Before joining the British Consulate-General in Dusseldorf, Keirra was the Deputy Director leading UK-wide Export Services in the Department of Business and Trade, where she led several teams who focused on export design and promotion. 

Keirra is a long-term civil servant with over 20 years of trade, investment, innovation, and programme-management experience. She has worked across multiple governments in the UK and Australia. She studied Business and International relations.
