Director of Shared Services for Government
The Director of Shared Services for Government leads the implementation of the Shared Services Strategy for Government, which was launched in May 2021. The Director works closely with clusters, government functions and suppliers to deliver the Strategy. The directorate acts as the policy lead for Shared Services and clusters in government, harnessing modern technology to deliver value for the taxpayer and improved experience for users.
Under the Shared Services Strategy, 18 departments have been brought together to replace around 200 departmental-based legacy IT systems with five modern, user-friendly, cloud-based systems.Â
