Details

Defra has authorised the enrichment of grapevine products up to a maximum of 3.5% for wine producers in Great Britain.聽

This will allow the supplementation of the natural alcoholic strength by volume of:聽

  • fresh grapes聽
  • grape must聽
  • grape must in fermentation聽
  • new wine still in fermentation聽
  • wine obtained from wine grape varieties聽

聽This authorisation applies:聽

  • to Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales)
  • for the 2024 harvest only
