Engineering Construction Industry Training Board (ECITB): Chair

Lynda Armstrong has been reappointed as Chair of the Engineering Construction Industry Training Board from 1 January 2026 for a period of 2 years.

The role is remunerated at a rate of £40,000 per annum for 84 days per year.

Lynda Armstrong has not declared any interests nor political activity.

The  ECITB  supports the construction industry to have a skilled, competent and inclusive workforce, now and in the future. It is an executive non-departmental public body sponsored by the Department for Education. Board member appointments are made by the Secretary of State for Education.

Ofqual: board members

Board members for the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual) are being reappointed.

Department for Education: non-executive board members

Stuart McMinnies and Peter Bazalgette are reappointed as non-executive board members for the Department for Education from 1 June 2025 for a period of 3 years.

We have made this appointment to allow the OfS to remain lawfully constituted, as per the requirements in the Higher Education and Research Act 2017 schedule 1 (2)1, whilst a full public appointments process is undertaken.Ìý
