Through the development of fisheries management plans (FMPs), Defra has worked with industry and interested stakeholders across the fisheries sector to identify evidence gaps. These are areas where furtherÌýinformation is needed on a range of relevant topics.
These evidence gaps need to be addressed to successfully implement the measures and goals set out in each FMP.Ìý
A collaborative approach is being taken across fisheries sectors to address the full range of FMP evidence gaps.Ìý
