Details

In June 2011, the coalition government set out an agreement which included a commitment by the government to 鈥渆nsure food procured by government departments, and eventually the whole public sector, meets British standards of production wherever this can be achieved without increasing overall cost鈥�. This is supported in the Defra Business Plan to drive sustainable food procurement by the government and the public sector.
