These maps show the Investment Zone tax sites within North East Investment Zone. These sites are designated and recognised in law as geographical areas where businesses can benefit from tax reliefs to bring investment, trade and jobs.

The tax sites for North East Investment Zone have been designated with effect from 8 April 2024.

Tax site locations

The 2 tax sites within the North East Investment Zone are:

  • Blyth
  • the International Advanced Manufacturing Strategic Site (IAMSS)

The published attachments of the tax site maps show the exact locations of the tax sites.

Blyth is located 13 miles north of Newcastle upon Tyne. The Blyth special tax site is located mainly on land, immediately north of the River Blyth. Some of the tax site is south of the river and it is located north of Crawford street.

The IAMSS special tax site is located 2 miles west of Sunderland and is on land, around the Nissan Motor factory, immediately west of the A19.
