MMO have carried out assessments on the impacts of fishing activities on highly mobile species features including harbour porpoises and marine bird species. These assessments are captured within the draft fishing gear MPA Impacts Evidence documents.

These documents collate and analyse the best available evidence on the impacts of commercial fishing gears on harbour porpoise and marine bird species. The documents will inform site level assessments on the impacts of fishing on the stage 4 marine protected areas.
