A review of past energy planning consents to assess their effects on newly created or extended:

  • Special Protection Areas (SPAs)
  • Special Areas of Conservation (SACs)

This is as required by:

The Secretary of State has taken the decision to reaffirm all 23 existing energy planning consents under review between July 2020 and July 2023, as adverse effects on the integrity of the SPAs and SACs could be ruled out.
