HS2 Ltd is required by the General Principles of the High Speed Rail (London – West Midlands) Environmental Minimum Requirements to report any new significant environmental effects that exceed those which were reported in the Phase 1 Environmental Statement (as amended).

HS2 Ltd is required by the General Principles of the High Speed Rail (London – West Midlands) Environmental Minimum Requirements to report any new significant environmental effects that exceed those which were reported in the Phase 1 Environmental Statement (as amended).
If through the design and/or construction process, there are predicted to be new residual significant environmental effects that HS2 Ltd is unable to minimise or reduce through taking all reasonable steps then they must be reported. This reporting is done through Supplementary Environmental Information (SEI).
