Getting this right helps to make sure new employees are paid correctly – including paying the right tax and National Insurance contributions, that protect their entitlement to the State 51²è¹Ý they’ll need later in life.   

It’s important that new employees and employers understand what information they need to provide HMRC, to ensure their PAYE record is accurate.
