The UK Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) international group will be used to communicate UK CBAM policy updates and receive feedback on specific UK CBAM policy design from international stakeholders.

TheĀ UKĀ government recognises that theĀ CBAMĀ is of significant internationalĀ interest and we want to continue to engage withĀ internationalĀ stakeholders who have an interest in the functioning of theĀ UKĀ CBAM. This is why, at Autumn Budget 2024, the government announced the introduction of the UK CBAM international group.
ThisĀ groupĀ will serve as a forum through which theĀ UKĀ government can communicate updates toĀ UKĀ CBAMĀ policy design. It will also serve as a feedback forum where it would be helpful for us to gather views from other governments.Ā Countries are invited to apply for membership to this group via the email address set out in the Terms of Reference. TheĀ groupĀ will meet at least annually with the possibility of further meetings where needed.
