Next event: July 2025: Vaccine Development Evaluation Centre (VDEC)

Our next edition of UKHSA Presents will be in early July and will focus on the work of our Vaccine Development Evaluation Centre (VDEC). This edition will look into the vital work they are doing with many partners in the UK and internationally to rapidly bring to market vaccines and countermeasures against pathogens with pandemic potential.

We will announce the date and registration details shortly.

Previous editions

May 2025: AI Application in Health Security

On Thursday 8 May, we showcased UKHSA’s AI developments, demonstrated real-world applications already enhancing health security and discussed future possibilities and ethical considerations. Attendees discovered how UKHSA has been responsibly harnessing AI’s power to stay ahead of emerging threats, while navigating the complex balance of innovation and risk.

February 2025: mSCAPE Genomics

On Wednesday 19 February, our UKHSA Presents webinar explored UKHSA’s groundbreaking work in the use of pathogen genomics.  Our panel of speakers focused on the world-first metagenomics Surveillance Collaboration and Analysis Programme (mSCAPE), which has been developed to aid in the rapid detection of infectious diseases that could threaten the UK.

November 2024: Antimicrobial Resistance

On Thursday 14 November, the second webinar in our series explored UKHSA’s work on tackling antimicrobial resistance (AMR).
